Upė Šventoji

The Šventoji (a tributary of the Neris, not the coastal Šventoji) is a 247.7 km river that starts in Lake Dūkštas. It flows through Užpaliai, Anykščiai, Kavarskas and Ukmergė and joins the Neris 4 km north-east of Jonava. The channel is narrow upstream (under 5 m) and 20–70 m wide below the Virinta mouth, with a depth of 1–2.7 m. The Antaliepté, Kavarskas and Anykščiai reservoirs lie on the river, and part of the valley belongs to Anykščiai Regional Park and the Šventoji Reserve.

    Minimum size: tench – 25 cm, carp – 40 cm.

  • Daily catch weight

    Total daily catch weight – 5 kg (7 kg in the Curonian Lagoon).
